Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 1) The Philadelphia Insurance Club

The wider and cushioned Philadelphia Insurance Club seats behind home plate (Sections A through G) are the best seats in Citizens Bank Park, for multiple reasons. The front row is closer to home plate than the pitcher, and he works harder for his view.

In addition to comfortable seats very close to the action, these seats feature in-seat wait service, with unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages in the first three rows (“Dugout“). And in Row 4 if you can find it.

You get up to $30 of concessions credit in Rows 5-9 (“Preferred“). In Rows 10 and above (“Standard“), you get the tab for your food and drinks. The $30 Preferred credit can be used anywhere in the ballpark, including for merch.

There are 19 rows in most sections. There are also tables and barstools behind the seating sections, excellent for chowing on Club grub with a view.

 

Most importantly, Philadelphia Insurance Club members have access to the premium lounge. You get a wristband for entry (which includes access to the Cadillac Hall of Fame Club). Both clubs are air-conditioned; especially valuable when the seats are in the sun.

Enjoy pre-game upscale restaurant-style dining from the La Scala’s Fire people, and there’s plenty of TVs to watch the game you’re attending. You even get views of the Phillies batting cages; you might get to see Schwarber punishing baseballs. And cleaner restrooms. That matters.

The food is excellent, of course. I visited some years ago and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. There are complimentary side dishes and such, so you shouldn’t be hungry afterward.

 

Probably needless to say, these tickets mostly go to season ticket holders and are difficult to get through the Phillies for single games. But they can be had through my friends at Gametime.

Tickets go for upwards of three digits for season ticket holders, but you might land a much-better-than-face deal for a low demand game. (Click here for tips to find the best deals on Phillies tickets.)

The Phillies include menus on their website for the Club areas.

 

Don’t miss the “Phillies Dream Scene”, a very cool painting from artist Jamie Cooper, depicting a clubhouse full of Phillies greats. In the picture are Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, and of course, Harry Kalas and Richie Ashburn. And the Phanatic.

Pete Rose isn’t in the picture…he’s represented by fallen rose petals. (You learn some cool stuff touring ballparks.)

I highly recommend arriving early if you score a ticket. Food service doesn’t start until 90 minutes before game time, but you can roam the newly revamped Hall of Fame Club and enjoy the amenities.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 2) The Cadillac Hall of Fame Club.

The also padded and wider Cadillac Hall of Fame Club seats take up most of the 200 level between the foul poles. They’re just above the luxury suites for a bird’s eye view. It feels good to be in front of the press box and sportswriters, even if it’s fairly high by premium seating standards.

The seats between the bases are especially highly thought of by Phillies fans. As you get out towards the foul poles the view is less great, but you might find a better deal there that still includes club access.

Seating sections include a couple of rows in the back with counters; you can order food and sit there to eat while watching the game. 

The biggest advantage of these seats is access to a climate-controlled lounge. Well worth it especially starting in 2026; the Phillies renovated the Cadillac Hall of Fame Club for All-Star Game attendees.

 

The new improved lounge features the Cooperstown Gallery, which any Phillies fan or baseball history buff should love. You can pose with the World Series trophies from 1980 and 2008, see player awards, retired numbers, interactive displays, and artifacts from Phillies history since 1883.

I especially liked “Legends of The Diamond“, a wall with pictures of Phillies in Cooperstown. They also have one of the “Bells Across PA” here; the painted Liberty Bell from the 2026 All-Star Game as well.

 

The Phillies also greatly improved the menu in the Club as well; you can read more about that on my Citizens Bank Park food page.

But briefly, there are now rotating chefs that are well-known in Philly chef circles. In 2026 that included Marc Vetri, Evan Snyder, Amanda Shulman and several others, offering up high end delicacies.

In addition to chef stations, there are a few stands with popular items in the ballpark. For now that’s 1883 Burgers, Chickie’s and Pete’s crab fries and a few others. There’s also a full bar.

Lines are usually shorter than in the concourses. There’s plenty of tables and seats in the lounge to enjoy your meal with TVs throughout.

Unfortunately food and drinks aren’t included in the price. But it’s well worth having the high end menu and shorter lines in an air-conditioned concourse. And easy access to bathrooms.

Like the Philadelphia Insurance Club, Cadillac Hall of Fame tickets mostly go to season ticket holders. But again, if you pick the right contest, you should be able to find a deal on Gametime. I’ve seen tickets for less than half face value on low demand nights. Anything under triple digits is probably a good deal.

With the Hall of Fame Club being climate-controlled, it’s great for ducking out of Philadelphia weather that reaches both temperature extremes.

Both clubs include a private entrance; it’s located on the first base side on Pattison Avenue. It doesn’t open any earlier than the rest, however.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 3) Field Level (100) Seats

The field level seats at the Bank are fairly premium-priced, as you would expect for a popular team. But they’re great seats; there isn’t much of an incline and the view is great from just about anywhere. Most sections without club seats have about 40 rows, but that can vary.

Ticket prices (from the Phillies, anyway) vary based on proximity to home plate as you can imagine. You’ll also pay more to be closer to the field. When comparing, maybe check a section or two over and a couple of rows higher; that could be a significant price difference.

 

All lower level seats are terrific, though, and the Bank is a place where I recommend staying low if you can. Not that upper level seats are bad, but they’re definitely high up; the lower level brings you much closer to the action.

New of late is the protective netting that’s mandatory at ballparks these days; Sections 111 through 136 are behind the net if this matters to you.

Speaking of those outer sections; Sections 113 and 134 are the first in that direction where the seats are angled towards home plate, or more like second base. Slightly easier on the neck, and possibly cheaper too.

 

Fans tend to avoid sitting behind the foul poles; the pole can be an annoying obstruction. The Phillies did replace the back seating in those sections with standing room space and counters; I’ll talk more about that in the standing room section.

If you’re interested in the post-game party at Pass and Stow, sections down the third base line are closest to the place. It gets crowded especially after a Phillies victory, so this will better your chances of getting a seat.

 

If you’re bringing the kids, the first base side (Sections 108-114) is closer to the Kings Swings Playground and The Yard, and also for a better view of the Phanatic dancing on the Phillies dugout. The first base/right field seats are much more in the sun though; we’ll discuss that.

In most infield sections, the highest rows are covered by an overhang. On the third base side they can have a blocked view of the left field scoreboard. Fortunately there’s a scoreboard in right field now, but I personally like a view of the Big Board. It can be good for shade though.

 

Seats in the outfield are popular at the Bank for several reasons. They’re cheaper than infield seats obviously, and they offer easy access to Ashburn Alley and the amazing food selection there. The left field seats are in front of the Liberty Landing, a nice place to find shade.

In right field, Sections 101-102 in particular are close to the bullpens. The visiting team is in the upper bullpen, great for heckling if you’re into that (Philly fans? No way!) but you need to be close to it.

If you’re a visiting team fan, the visitor’s dugout is on the third base side.

From the outfield seats there can be a slightly limited view of the action, such as when a ball is hit to the wall near where one is sitting. Not a terribly big deal; Phillies fans will let you know what happened.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 4) The Mezzanine (200) Level + GHOST Energy Deck.

There are a 200 level sections beyond the Hall of Fame Club seats. These include seats in the left field corner, outfield seating in right field, and the GHOST® Energy Deck below the scoreboard. Let’s discuss these briefly…

These sections don’t include access to the club unfortunately. That means that you can’t, to my knowledge, go through the club to get from one corner to the other.

If you’re in one of these sections, know where to get to them; there are escalators, elevators and ramps but be on the right side first.

 

But the seats are cheaper, and the view isn’t bad, even though it gets fairly far from the action. Seats offer a nice elevated view without the nosebleed factor, and on the left field side the ramp and concourse offer a sweet view of the Philly skyline.

Like in the lower level, Section 201 offers proximity to the bullpens. No spitting. I would be mindful of Section 205; the foul pole can still potentially be an obstruction. You can check the view on the Phillies ticket sale map.

 

These sections are technically close to Ashburn Alley, but keep in mind you’ll have to use an elevator, stairs, or a ramp to get there. I would advise getting your grub beforehand; the food selection in the 200 level concourses is limited.

The good news, though, is that 200 level sections are small. No need to walk past 30-plus rows, or climb your way past several people to be in the middle of a row.

 

The GHOST® Energy Deck (formerly the Scoreboard Porch) is in front of the Big Board; these seats are separate from the other 200 sections. There are stairways on either side and an elevator if you need it. Again, I would get my Ashburn Alley stuff before going to my seats; it’s a lot of steps.

Obviously you would have to turn around to see the Big Board, but again, with a scoreboard in right it’s not a deal breaker for the price.

These seats tend to be in the shade early which is nice, but they’re pretty far from the action. You also could lose some of left field in the upper seats.

 

If you’re not familiar with GHOST® Energy drinks, they’re a brand of protein drinks that got its start in Philadelphia and now sponsor this section.

If you’re into fancy energy drink cocktails, this is the ideal spot for you. You can get such drinks behind you here at the bar, including specialty cocktails like the Broad Street Bomber, GHOST® Fusion, Red, White & BOOM, and the Creamsicle Walk-Off.

Unfortunately they don’t sell food there, so again, visit Ashburn Alley beforehand and save yourself the extra steps.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 5) Upper Deck Seats

The Phillies call the lower 300 level of the upper deck the Terrace; the higher 400 level is the Terrace Deck. The outer sections in right field past the gap are called the Pavilion (200 level) and the Pavilion Deck (300 level).

Because there’s an open concourse on the upper level as well, there is space between the 300 and 400 sections. There are elevators, escalators, ramps and steps to get to the upper concourse, but it takes a dozen-plus steps to get to the 400 seats and there’s no other way to get to them.

So if you have trouble with steps, go for something in the 300 level, especially if they’re similar in price on Gametime.

 

The upper level, especially the 400 sections, are on the high side for sure. With the suites, club level, and open concourses pushing everything up, the height and incline are not for the acrophobic.

The slope was designed to bring folks closer to the field, and it works, but just be mindful of this. If you’re fine with it, the upper sections are worth your while as upper ballpark seating goes.

The upper seats behind home plate especially provide the best panoramic view of the entire ballpark and the skyline beyond, which is boffo at sunset on a clear day. There’s also a sweet view of the city and the Walt Whitman Bridge on the upper concourse, which is worth a walk around.

 

The 300 level seats cost a bit more obviously, but it’s worth it in my opinion. In addition to fewer steps to climb, there are fewer rows to get to your seats (except in the Pavilion Deck seating areas). Much easier to get a hot dog or answer nature’s call during the game. The difference in view is significant as well.

That said, the 400 level seats are among the cheapest at Citizens Bank Park. I particularly like the seats in Sections 419-422 behind home plate. Very nice view of the whole place and the city beyond it.

I will say that you get pretty far from the action beyond that, especially past the bases; those seats are for people looking for the lowest price.

Remember the roof; it covers the upper six or seven rows or so in the 400 sections and in the 300 sections past the seating gap in right field. Significant shade factor here.

 

The Pavilion Deck is the 300 level seating past the “gap” down the right field line where the 400 (Terrace) seating section ends. Like with the Pavilion seating, the price drops a bit past the foul pole into fair territory.

Pavilion Deck seating in right field is often cheaper than the Terrace seating in left; for some reason the Phillies value left field seating more. (Possibly because of the sun.) You can also miss a portion of right field in the upper right field sections.

Finally, in the upper level, the third base side is better for shade, but the first base side offers the straight ahead view of the Big Board. You can choose accordingly.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 6) Rooftop Bleachers

The bench-style and backless Rooftop Bleachers on the PJ Fitzpatrick Rooftop are pretty far away, as were the rooftops on 20th Street at Connie Mack Stadium, from which these are inspired. It literally looks like someone set up a grandstand on top of their roof a la the Wrigley Rooftops, which I believe was the intention.

They are  the cheapest seats in the ballpark, and there can be a raucous atmosphere here if you like that sort of thing.

If you’re looking for a great view though, look elsewhere; these are about as far as seats get here and the view of right field especially can be obstructed.

Remember that these seats are metal benches and directly face the sun later in the afternoon; bring all the necessary accessories like a cushion and sunscreen.

 

The Rooftop Bleachers are directly below the neon Liberty Bell, which you can see swinging back and forth from close up after a Phillies homer. If the game bores you, there’s decent people-watching in Ashburn Alley.

The Bleachers are near (actually on) the Rooftop, the standing room space above Ashburn Alley. Food and beer are available on the Rooftop, and there’s even a phone charging station.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 7) Standing Room.

Standing room isn’t as cheap as it should be here, but it’s not a bad deal. The concourse area is designed so that people can view the action anywhere in the park, with countertops to rest your chicken sandwich and donuts behind most of the seating sections.

Standing room fans are permitted to watch the game anywhere. Just be aware that Ashburn Alley and areas behind home plate can get crowded. Behind the bullpens is a good spot; you’re right on top of it and can heckle pitchers warming up.

If you’re early enough, you can stake out table or barstool seating either under the GHOST Energy Deck, on the Bud Rooftop, or even in Ashburn Alley. You need to be early. Remember that the left field and third base gates open first; use that.

Try visiting the Liberty Landing in the later innings for a seat if you’re tired.

 

The Phillies added some excellent standing room spaces in the corners where the foul poles are; these are behind Sections 107 and 140. There are counters for food and drinks in the back of these sections.

You might have to deal with a foul pole in your view, but you can’t beat that for a standing room price. Again, grab these spots early, especially on high demand nights.

Don’t discount the upper level here, by the way. There are counters to lean on and watch the game throughout the concourse, and you can choose an ideal spot for shade or a panoramic view. It’s less crowded up there.

 

If you’re a local, the Phillies offer a monthly “Ballpark Pass” standing room ticket that puts a barcode on your phone and enables you to attend as many home games as you want in a month.

It’s a great price even if you only attend three or four games, and it’s a cheap way to get into the ballpark for high demand games like Mets or Yankees games.

You can even ask for an upgrade, but that’ll cost extra of course.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 8) Finding Shade.

OK, so now for arguably the most important part of picking a seat; finding a place in the shade for those sweltering July and August games in Philly. 

The sun sets on the third base side, and that starts taking effect usually in the late afternoon. In right field especially, fans have to contend with a bright and hot sun for the longest amount of time. (I speak from experience, it can be rough.)

You should bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water sitting anywhere in right field and on the first base side during the hot summer months. That’s even true for day games; the shade will start on the third base side.

 

Remember you also have the overhangs and the roof in the upper level. For day games especially, this makes the upper 400 level seats especially more attractive. Shoot for something higher than Row 9 in the 400 seats.

Overhangs in the lower level don’t cover as much, but they can provide shade for the top few rows in the field level, especially on the third base side and behind home plate.

There’s also the big scoreboard in left field; that could provide shade later in the day for lower sections in right, like Sections 101, 201, etc.

 

Most of the premium Club seating unfortunately is not in the shade, except for the upper rows of the Cadillac Hall of Fame Club. Remember the biggest advantage though: the air conditioned concourse.

You might actually be able to find a deal on Gametime on a super hot day even for these seats. You’ll think they’re worth every penny when you step out of the Philly summer heat.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 9) Accessible Seating.

The Phillies offer accessible seating on every level except the 400 level and the Pavilion Deck 300 sections. That includes the GHOST® Energy Deck (remember the elevator).

They’ll provide wheelchair spaces for you and up to three folding chairs for your partners, and the ushers will be happy to help you get to a section.

The accessible areas are in the back of sections, which means they are generally covered by the overhang and in the shade. There are seats in the sun, but it’s easy enough to move if needed. They have accessible spaces in the premium seating areas as well.

Remember what I said about the third base side missing the scoreboard; that would definitely apply to accessible areas.

 

People online have high praise for the Phillies staff. They’re very accommodating and will even provide a wheelchair to help you get to your section.

One thing though: these tickets, like most Phillies tickets, can sell out. If you’re planning a Phillies game and need wheelchair access, you need to get ahead of it and order early.

Citizens Bank Park Seating, Part 10) A Few More Tips.

Yes I’ve covered a lot already, but you know me, I want you to have all the info! Just want to mention a few more things for you.

First, Seat 1 is always on the right facing the field. Knowing this can help you enter your section from the correct side and not disrupt fans’ nachos. 

In the upper levels especially, some seats have an annoying railing obstruction. This is particularly the case on the ends of upper rows, and in Row 1 of upper sections. Wherever you can, use the Phillies’ interactive map and check the view from your seats. (It shows up when you buy tickets.)

 

Finally, if you’re in the field level and are a fan of the Phillie Phanatic, go for the first base side. Sit behind the Phillies dugout if you can, where he often dances later in the game. The Phanatic is always well worth a watch.
