12 Great Tropicana Field Food Items | Tampa Bay Rays

It’s looking like the Rays won’t be playing in Tropicana Field much longer; it’s not high among people’s favorite ballparks but you should still visit when you can.

And when you go, you’ll need to know what to eat, so I’ve put together this useful list of some colorful items from the Tropicana Field food menu. This is from my visit in 2026; if there’s anything new to share, let me know.

OK, let’s go…we’ll start with monstrous helpings of nachos:

You vs. Tropicana Field Food.

1) Super Pulled Pork Nachos. You can find the pulled pork nachos at Link’s stand in the 1st Base Food Hall, or at the Smoke N’ Pour stands at third base and in center field.

This pile of covered chips is probably too much for one person, although on a good day I might be able to put it away with extra innings.

The plate features: chips, BBQ pulled pork, cheese sauce, sour cream, jalapenos, cilantro and pico de gallo. Top it with your choice of BBQ or Carolina sauces.

You sell the Sizzle, not the steak. 

2) Sizzle Philly Cheesesteak Nachos. Again, Sizzle is a Levy Restaurants creation and not a brand, but that’s a great name. You can find these at the Sizzle stand on the first base side.

I don’t have the official list of ingredients, but my educated guess is that you get the ribeye beef, peppers and onions pictured here, plus the Cheez Whiz style sauce; possibly some hot peppers.

You can, of course, get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich at Sizzle too. In fact, let’s talk about sandwiches…

Maybe not worth visiting Cuba, but certainly Florida.

3) Cubanos Cuban Sandwich. The Cuban has been a mainstay at Tropicana Field; one of the few food items that’s always returning. You can find Cubanos in the 1B Food Hall and the center field porch.

I’m a fan; the Cuban sandwich here is true Tampa-style, with salami, roast pork, sweet ham, Swiss cheese, sliced dill pickles and mustard sauce, all on pressed La Segunda Bakery Cuban bread. Nice gooey texture.

4) Fiamma NY Sandwiches. Fiamma is Fiamma Harrison, a digital creator from NYC. I’m not sure if he is also a chef, but the sandwiches here…especially the chicken vodka parm sandwich with the garlic fries…is very popular here.

It’s breaded chicken cutlets on a sesame seed roll with vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella. Win.

5) Little Greek’s Gyros. The Little Greek Fresh Grill is not just a local favorite; they have locations in Texas and several other states. But you’ll find them most in Florida, especially in the St. Petersburg area. And in the Third Base Food Hall here.

They offer three types of gyros here: the traditional shaved lamb gyro, the chicken gyro, and the vegan falafel gyro. You also get some crispy Greek-style fries with herbs and feta cheese.

Little Greek’s uses a special secret blend of Greek spices, and their tzatziki sauce is a private family recipe. A step above typical ballpark gyros? Probably.

It’s actually kind of difficult to imagine great pizza without hot oil.

6) Colony Grill Pizza. Sorry all of you Papa John’s fans (?), the Rays replaced the chain’s pizza with the Colony Grill, a generally northeast-based chain that started in Connecticut. They’re into baseball apparently; you can also find them at Nationals Park and Yankee Stadium.

The Colony Grill offer whole pies that feed one; you can get plain, pepperoni or “hot oil” pizza, with a pepper that will blow your brain out (and I say that as a spicy food fan).

You can find Colony Grill in the 1B and 3B Food Halls and in the right field concourse.

You want crab fries? Tampa Bay’s got your CRAB fries!

7) Crabby’s Beachside Crab Fries. Crabby’s Beachside is a St. Augustine Beach eatery known for its regional seafood faves like grouper tacos, alligator bites (OW!), and clam chowder. At the Trop they offer lobster tacos, crabby pretzels and crab rolls. But the crab fries are a star.

Unlike the Chickie’s and Pete’s edition in Philly, these crab fries actually have actual crab meat on them. Shredded crab meat topped on thick fries, with a helping of fry sauce or queso.

They’re one of the more popular food items here, and it’s a generous portion. Crabby’s is located in the center field concourse area.

This chick can make a chicken salad!

8) Chicken Salad Chick Scoops. If you’re looking for something lighter and possibly a little bit healthier, Chicken Salad Chick has got you. If you live in the area, you’re probably familiar with the chain; they have 340+ locations in the Southeast.

At the Trop they offer Southern chicken salads, as scoops or as sandwiches with croissants. There’s multiple flavors; in my visit they had Sassy Scotty, Classic Carol, Jalapeno Holly and Fancy Nancy. (You can find out more about the flavors on their website.)

Incidentally, this is a good spot for gluten-free food at the Trop; the salad scoops are certified GF. Just don’t get the croissant obviously. This stand is in the 3B Food Hall.

A shake. That’s milk and ice cream. You don’t add any bourbon in it or nothing?

9) Epic Milkshakes. Yes, they are indeed Epic with a capital E, as you can see. And in case you didn’t know from the picture, you can order these with some booze included. Now that’s a dessert!

The available selections in my visit were the Raymond’s Cotton Candy Milkshake, the Oreo Brownie Milkshake, and the Choc Caramel Devotion. You can “make it boozy” with bourbon, rum or vodka. Needless to say that costs quite a bit more.

You might want to share this one…it’s a lotta lotta sugar especially with alcohol added. Epic Milkshakes is behind home plate on the 3B side.

Impressive enough even without the Rays helmet.

10) Carousel’s Soft Serve Ice. Carousel’s is an Italian ice joint that started in New Jersey but is now headquartered in Bradenton; they’re growing fast with franchises for their smooth and creamy style ices.

At the Trop they offer a rotating menu of flavors; in my visit the flavors were mango, blue raspberry (has anyone ever seen a blue raspberry?), cherry and cotton candy. You can get it in a small Rays helmet and everything.

If it matters to you, Carousel’s ices are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. Triple play! Find Carousel’s behind home plate near the Epic Milkshakes.

You could get some Mr. Softee and dip them in that, just saying.

11) Hola! Churros. I love that churros are becoming more popular at ballparks; it’s an ideal ballpark dessert. Hola! Churros (sorry, I don’t have that upside down exclamation point on my keyboard) are made by J&J Snack Foods.

These churros are lengthy cinnamon coated fried pastry sticks; they unfortunately don’t include any dipping sauce. But the price isn’t too bad for a ballpark dessert. You can grab these in the right field corner.

12) Nutty Bavarian Nuts. If you blink you could miss it, but the Nutty Bavarian people offer a variety of nuts selections that make great ballpark alternatives to typical peanuts.

At the Trop stand they offer cinnamon-glazed almonds, pecans and cashews; the nuts are glazed right there at the cart so you can smell them. Dirty trick! Nutty Bavarian stands are on the 1B and 3B concourses.
